‘WE NOW KNOW FOR WHAT QUALITY TOOLS LOOK LIKE FOR REAL<\/strong>!’<\/h1>\n

The Chipole Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Tanzania trains vulnerable young persons as tailor, carpenter, car mechanic, electrician or plumber. Quality vocational education and training prepare the youth to live independent lives.<\/h4>\n<\/div>

The vocational training centre is founded by Benedictine nuns and is located near the provincial town of Songea. Last year the centre received a shipment with refurbished tools for their practical lessons from us. The tools are very helpful, as can be seen in the enthusiastic responses of the students.<\/p>\n

It’s time to gain a lot of practical experience<\/strong><\/h2>\n

“The tools of Gered Gereedschap have made it possible for me and my classmates to not only get theoretical knowledge but also gain a lot of practical experience,” writes Jackson Thobias Mapara. Jackson grew up in a poor farmer’s family. Since his father passed away his mother is on her own. This year he will graduate as electrician. Also Aden Aidan Ndinguru, a car mechanic student, emphasizes the importance of the tools for practical experience: “Before we received the tools from Gered Gereedschap, we only had few machineries in our garage. Now we know what quality tools look like for real and we learn how to work with them as well.”<\/p>\n

After finishing his training, Aden wants to support his parents who now need to survive on a low income from their small family farm. “Our students are among the most vulnerable groups in society,” writes automotive engineering teacher Adolphe Aidan Komba. “The tools from the Netherlands allow them to receive quality vocational training and therefore a chance to a better future”.<\/p>\n<\/div>
