‘MY DREAM IS TO SET UP MY OWN GARAGE AFTER THIS’<\/h1>\n

\nRahman Saha Ariko is a 26-year-old Motor Vehicle Technology student at Pioneer Technical Institute (PTI). In this interview, Rahman shares his story and the crucial role that Gered Gereedschap has played in his education.<\/h4>\n<\/div>

\"\"Rahman, can you tell us about your background and the challenges you have faced?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rahman: “I completed my ordinary education certificate in 2020, but since then I couldn’t continue my studies due to a lack of school fees. My family advised me to stop studying so that my siblings could also have a chance at education. I decided to take on various jobs to earn some money. After a while, a friend told me about the opportunity to learn skills in motor vehicle technology, but I needed some financial support to do that.”<\/p>\n

How did you eventually get the opportunity to continue your education?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rahman: “I contacted my older brother, and he agreed to contribute to my school fees. Despite this, I still struggled to come up with the remaining amount. When the institute approached me to apply for a scholarship from Gered Gereedschap, I seized the opportunity with both hands. This sponsorship enabled me to continue my education.”<\/p>\n

What does this scholarship mean to you?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rahman: “I consider myself one of the fortunate ones because I now have the chance to become a professional mechanic. This opportunity is thanks to the support of Gered Gereedschap. Their help allowed me to get through the first year of my training, which was a big struggle for me. They have also provided us with tools and machines that we use during our practical lessons. Additionally, they have announced that they will support us with starter kits to help us in the workplace.”<\/p>\n

What are your future plans after completing this program?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Rahman: “I dream of setting up my own garage and workshop. I want to not only provide quality services but also support other disadvantaged young people in acquiring vocational skills. It is important for me to give back to the community and help others get the opportunities that I have been given.”<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
