‘THE STARTER KIT OF TOOLS GAVE ME A HEAD START IN MY CAREER!’<\/h1>\n

\"\"At 20 years old, Tetteh Kwaku Evans (on the right in the photo) faced financial barriers that limited his educational opportunities. \u201cSeeing my peers making progress in their education while I struggled due to financial limitations was discouraging. However, this project has given me skills and opportunities I never had before. The free tuition\u2014thanks to the Gered Gereedschap scholarship\u2014was a huge benefit, allowing me to learn without costs. Otherwise, it would never have been possible! Now I\u2019m proud of my achievements and the skills I\u2019ve gained, which surpass some of my peers who continued their education without vocational training.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tetteh also appreciates the practical training and the starter kit of tools: \u201cWorking on practical assignments\u2014just like in the real world\u2014and receiving a starter kit of metalworking tools upon graduation has given me a head start in my career. I\u2019m excited about the opportunities ahead of me and grateful for the support.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>

WHAT HAVE WE ACHIEVED TOGETHER?<\/h4>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0We have given 75 young people from cocoa farming families \u2013 with a special focus on girls \u2013 the opportunity to build a future as metalworkers. The metalworking training has been professionalized by, among other things, equipping workshops with tools and machines, training teachers, refining the curriculum, and providing starter kits.<\/p>\n
