EQUIP TOOL REPAIR & MAINTENANCE – PRACTICAL STEP-BY-STEP VIDEOS FOR CRAFTSMEN AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTES

EQUIP Tool Repair & Maintenance – How-To Series is a collection of step-by-step instructional videos designed to help craftspeople repair, maintain, and improve their tools. Each video focuses on practical, hands-on techniques — such as cleaning, sharpening, adjusting, and restoring — ensuring that tools last longer, work better, and contribute to safer and higher-quality craftsmanship.

These videos were developed as part of the EQUIP Tool Repair & Maintenance programme, where knowledge transfer plays a central role. Many craftspeople know how to use tools but have never been taught how to restore or maintain them properly. This series helps close that gap by providing accessible and directly applicable skills that can be used in any workshop.

With this series, we specifically aim to reach an international audience, particularly craftspeople, teachers, and vocational training institutes  in the focus countries in Africa where Gered Gereedschap is active. For this reason, the videos are produced in English, making them widely accessible and suitable for use in technical education and workshops across different countries and contexts.
